Think automation and strategies aimed at delivering top-tier services as efficiently as possible. My journey into automation began at 14, when I used it to gain an edge in an online video game. I programmed my character for self-defense: automatic retaliation, timely healing potions, and interrupting foes' spells – all without my direct input. Cheating? Perhaps. But efficiency meant staying ahead of the competition. This early experience sparked a path through various IT roles, eventually leading me to a Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Central Ohio. Here, my journey of perpetual automation continued. Later, as ConnectWise's Senior Best Practices Analyst, I delved into evaluating MSP businesses daily. This role ignited a newfound passion for leadership. I observed firsthand how culture, morale, and trust were not just feel-good factors, but catalysts for growth and success. Firms where these elements thrived weren’t just happier; they were also expanding rapidly. Leadership for me is less about titles and more about influencing positive change – I call it 'culture hacking.' It’s about creating environments where creativity and innovation can flourish. When I’m not in the world of IT and automation, I'm a dedicated father to two incredible kiddos, a guardian to four cats – including one who’s as majestic as he is wonderfully blind – and a loyal dog. My home is a lively blend of laughter, love, and the occasional fur-fueled chaos. It's these everyday joys and challenges that keep me grounded and remind me of what’s truly important.
