[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_01]: This complex financing talk is very challenging. Do I get my depot ever?

[00:00:06] [SPEAKER_02]: But you already have a depot.

[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_01]: No.

[00:00:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you have the Vodafone Gigadepot.

[00:00:11] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right! And I have myself in the hand how big my depot is.

[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Now with the Vodafone Gigadepot and the data volume of use in the next month. Go on in the 5G network of Vodafone.

[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Vodafone. Together we can.

[00:00:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Here's your TNB Tech Minute for Friday, October 18. I'm Julie Chang for The Wall Street Journal.

[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_00]: The U.S.'s top auto regulator is investigating Tesla's automated driving software after the system was linked to several crashes.

[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_00]: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said today it had identified four crashes involving Tesla's driver assistance system, which the company markets as full self-driving.

[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_00]: In one incident, a Tesla vehicle fatally struck a pedestrian.

[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_00]: That says that the crashes occurred in reduced visibility conditions.

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Tesla didn't respond to a request for comment.

[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_00]: The Justice Department has indicted a tech CEO over an allegedly fake data center audit used to gain federal business.

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_00]: The DOJ said Deepak Jain created an entity called Uptime Council that falsely certified the data center he provided to the Securities and Exchange Commission with the highest available rating.

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_00]: But the SEC said it experienced problems at the data center from 2012 to 2018.

[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_00]: The SEC paid Jain's company $10.7 million over the course of its partnership.

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Jain is charged with six counts of major fraud against the U.S. and one count of making false statements.

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_00]: An attorney for Jain said his client is innocent and that there's no evidence that any data was lost or compromised in any way.

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_00]: The SEC didn't respond to a request for comment.

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: And Netflix's ad-supported tier is growing at a healthy clip.

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_00]: That's according to analysts at UBS.

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_00]: They say Netflix saw a higher percentage of signups opting for its ad tier in Q3 than in Q2.

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's leading management to expect ad revenue to double in 2025.

[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Netflix shares rose 11%, closing at a record high after the company reported its most profitable quarter ever yesterday.
