[00:00:28] [SPEAKER_00]: and return services to fill orders placed on platforms that aren't Walmart's website.
[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_00]: These include Target, Etsy and Amazon.
[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_00]: The company also says it will start offering to handle imports on behalf of merchants from
[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_00]: ports of origin in Asia to Walmart's U.S. distribution centers.
[00:00:47] [SPEAKER_00]: The new services are set to launch next month.
[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_00]: They step up competition with Amazon which offers its own fulfillment services.
[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Roughly 27 percent of Fortune 500 companies cited artificial intelligence regulation as a
[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_00]: risk in recent securities filings.
[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_00]: That figure comes from a recent analysis by Arise AI, a startup building a platform for monitoring AI models.
[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_00]: The concerns reflect the uneven regulatory environment around AI.
[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_00]: The European Union passed comprehensive legislation called the AI Act.
[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_00]: In the U.S., there is a hodgepodge of state initiatives in development
[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_00]: while the federal government hasn't yet passed rules.
[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_00]: And Mark Zuckerberg says pressure from the Biden administration on Facebook to censor
[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_00]: content in 2021 related to the coronavirus pandemic was wrong.
[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_00]: The CEO of Metta, the parent of Facebook and Instagram, vowed the company would
[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_00]: push back if something like this happens again.
[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Zuckerberg made the comments in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan.
[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Zuckerberg, who along with his wife donated more than $400 million to nonprofits to fund
[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_00]: local elections in 2020, also said he didn't plan to repeat those efforts.
