[00:00:38] Xerox has struck a deal to buy printer maker Lexmark in a $1.5 billion transaction, including

[00:00:44] debt.

[00:00:45] Xerox is expected to finance the deal with a combination of cash on hand and committed debt

[00:00:50] financing.

[00:00:51] The takeover brings Lexmark back into U.S. hands after it agreed to be sold to a group

[00:00:56] of Chinese buyers in 2016.

[00:00:58] The deal would create a vertically integrated manufacturer, distributor, and provider of

[00:01:04] printing equipment and services and Boozlex Marks revenue by about one-third.

[00:01:08] It would also bolster Xerox's core printing portfolio and help it expand its services globally.

[00:01:15] China's electric vehicle sector is expected to keep growing in 2025.

[00:01:19] That's according to an analyst at CCB International.

[00:01:23] Total industry sales volume is projected to rise about 25% to 30% next year, driven by hybrid

[00:01:30] plug-in cars.

[00:01:31] The analyst says new energy vehicles bought next year will still qualify for tax exemption,

[00:01:36] and the government is likely to extend its trade-in program for old cars, which will support

[00:01:41] sales.

[00:01:41] And two tech stocks with cult followings, MicroStrategy and Palantir, have joined the NASDAQ

[00:01:48] 100.

[00:01:50] MicroStrategy, a software company turned crypto investor, celebrated the index edition by adding

[00:01:55] to its stash of Bitcoin.

[00:01:56] It bought about $561 million of Bitcoin last week, funded by issuing new stock.

[00:02:03] Shares of MicroStrategy fell nearly 9%, and shares of Palantir edged up.
